ReadSpeaker has announced a new partnership with Assessment Systems Corporation (ASC), a leading online assessment platform provider and pioneer in computerised adaptive testing (CAT) and psychometric testing, to improve the accessibility of assessments and accreditations, including high-stakes testing.

Speaker’s text-to-speech solutions and voice-enhanced learning tools help make content accessible and engaging for a diverse population of candidates. The ASC assessment solution makes it easier for organisations to manage and publish exams and tests and encompasses modern psychometrics. The partnership will integrate ReadSpeaker’s ethical AI-powered technology into the ASC assessment platform, enabling examinees to listen to test questions within the online exam environment, helping to level the playing field for all.

Assess has over 40 years of experience providing assessment solutions and expertise in all sectors of education, from K12 to university admissions, high-stakes professional certification and legally defensible exams, including our joint customer Icelandic Transport Authority (IceTra) for driver licence testing.

By integrating ReadSpeaker’s voices in the ASC assessment platform, organisations will be able to offer their examinees the option to convert the exam text into natural-sounding, high-quality audio. The goal is to support a diverse learner population, including neurodiverse, multilingual, additional language learners, or simply those who prefer to listen to content for any other reason. This will help level the playing field for all examinees and help organisations meet accessibility and accommodations compliance standards.

We are excited to partner with Assessment Systems Corporation globally to help make assessments of all types more accessible, and inclusive,” said Roy Lindemann, CMO of ReadSpeaker “This partnership further enhances the accessibility aspects of ASCs’ solutions by integrating text-to-speech to better serve all candidates, further supporting their mission to positively impact educational and career opportunities.
